Old Ale

BJCP 17B
Identify, Will you like it, Order, Pair, Judge, Try and Myth
Nobody is expected to memorise this screen. These four are the strong beers that did not earn a class of their own, and the job here is to stop you freezing when one turns up on a list. Each card answers four things fast: what it is, what it sits next to, whether you will like it, and what to say.
Place, Cause, Confused with, Numbers and Remember
Wheat, wait, whatever, what is in it. Four words for four styles. Wheat is the Wheatwine, which is a barleywine with the grain swapped. Wait is the Old Ale, which is defined by time in storage rather than by recipe. Whatever is American Strong Ale, the drawer for strong American beers that fit nowhere else.
